Your Data Belongs to You
All data you enter into EstimateQuote -- including your rate library, client information, quotes, and company details -- belongs exclusively to you. We will never sell, license, or share your data with third parties.
1. Data Collection
We collect information you provide directly: account details (name, email, company), rate library entries, client contacts, project descriptions, and generated quotations. We also collect standard usage data such as page views, feature usage patterns, and device information to improve the platform.
2. How We Use Your Data
Your data is used to provide the EstimateQuote service: generating quotes, maintaining your rate library, and personalizing your experience. We may use aggregate, anonymized benchmarks derived from platform-wide usage to improve AI accuracy and market rate suggestions. Your individual rate library is never shared between accounts.
3. Rate Library Privacy
Your personal rate library is strictly isolated to your account. Rates, pricing, and supplier information are never visible to other users or shared across accounts. Aggregate anonymized benchmarks may be used to improve the AI model and provide market rate suggestions, but these can never be traced back to any individual contractor.
4. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest, secure authentication, and regular security audits. Access to production data is restricted to authorized personnel only and is logged for audit purposes.
5. Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. Upon account closure, all personal data and rate library entries undergo hard deletion within 30 days. Anonymized aggregate data that cannot be traced to your account may be retained for product improvement purposes.
6. Data Export
You may request a full export of all your data at any time, including your rate library, client list, quotes, and account information. Export requests are fulfilled in standard formats (CSV, JSON) within 5 business days.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, export, and delete your personal data at any time. You can request data deletion through your account settings or by contacting support. We honor all applicable data protection regulations in the jurisdictions we operate.
8. Cookies & Analytics
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We may use analytics tools to understand how the platform is used and improve performance. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings.
9. Advertising (Google AdSense)
The free tier of EstimateQuote is supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense, a third-party advertising service provided by Google LLC, to display ads. Google and its partners may use cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our website and other sites on the Internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time by visiting Google's Ads Settings (https://www.google.com/settings/ads), and you can opt out of third-party vendor cookies via http://www.aboutads.info. EU/UK users will be presented with consent options where required by law. Paid plans of EstimateQuote do not display ads.
10. Third-Party Services
We use third-party services for authentication, payment processing, advertising (Google AdSense), email delivery, and infrastructure hosting. These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements. We only share the minimum data required for these services to function.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use of EstimateQuote after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
